9. Donation Refund Policy

La Foret Education Charitable Trust has instituted this donation refund policy to ensure fair and transparent processing of refund requests arising from errors, duplicate donations, or technical issues during the transaction process. We encourage donors to carefully review and verify their donation details before proceeding, and to exercise due care and diligence while making contributions. Refunds will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and processed within 15 business days upon approval.

The Trust will review all refund requests and may request additional details or documentation from the donor; we request donors to cooperate fully in this regard.

Refunds will not be provided if:

  1. The donation has already been allocated to a specific campaign or program.
  2. A tax exemption certificate has been issued and utilized.

A tax exemption certificate has been issued but not yet used — in such cases, donors must return the certificate or provide a declaration of loss before the refund can be processed.

Refund Request Process and Time Limit

Refund requests must be submitted in writing or via email within 15 days from the date of donation. The date of donation refers to the date the contribution was made online, electronically, or through other means.

Required Information for Refund Requests

  1. Date of donation
  2. Donation amount
  3. Payment method
  4. If by Cheque/Draft: Cheque/Draft number
  5. If online: Donation ID and payment gateway reference number (if available)

Refund Communication and Appeals

  • All decisions made by La Foret Education Charitable Trust regarding refunds will be final and binding on the donor.
  • If a refund request is denied, donors may submit an appeal along with any additional supporting documents within 7 days of receiving the decision. Appeals should be sent to the contact information provided below.
