On August 15th, La Forêt Education Charitable Trust had a real blast celebrating India’s Independence Day with the kids from VISAMO Kids Foundation in Ahmedabad – and what a day it was! We pulled off the party at the VISAMO Kids Foundation premises, to celebrate all the things that really matter – freedom, friendship and the spirit of inclusiveness.
La Forêt Education Charitable Trust teamed up with VISAMO Kids Foundation to bring the community together and give those kids a day to remember. We’re firm believers that education and support are the keys to true independence – and that this day was a big step in the right direction towards a more inclusive society for all the kids.
Event Overview and Participation
Over a hundred kids and loads of volunteers showed up for the event. We were stoked to see our La Forêt team working side by side with the VISAMO Kids Foundation crew, and a bunch of special guests who came out to show their support. Our event team was made up of an awesome group of facilitators from all walks of life – and that really made the whole thing feel open and welcoming for all the kids.
The fact that we had such a big group of people turn out showed that we’re dead serious about giving more kids a chance through our community programs. And you know what? Everyone worked together to make it a day to remember – all about unity, respect and having a blast.
Moments of Magic, Music, and Meaningful Learning
The day kicked off with a super energizing yoga session – perfect for getting those little bodies and minds moving! Then, we had loads of colour and music with some amazing cultural events and performances. And let’s not forget the magic show – a real treat for everyone, keeping us all on the edge of our seats!
Our activities were all designed to get the kids being creative and building their confidence. And we wanted to make it a day that was all about hands-on learning – fun, fun, fun! The kids even got to pick up some valuable lessons on self-expression and teamwork – all through the music and performances.
Community Time & Making Memories
The highlight of the day for a lot of us was the community lunch – just sitting down together and sharing food, just like one big happy family. And of course, we had to cut a cake to mark the occasion! But the real magic happened when we all came together for a Garba dance session – and what a time we had! Those moments of high energy and laughter really brought us all closer together, and we made some serious memories.
Impact and Future Vision
It was an absolute success – the kids were buzzing and our partnership with VISAMO Kids Foundation got stronger. Through this event, La Forêt Education Charitable Trust showed everyone just how dedicated we are to helping kids reach their full potential. And the best bit? The kids left feeling motivated and loved by their community.
